It occurs to me…

  • One cell, when it dies, replaced by no new cells is death
  • Two cells, when they die, replaced by one new cell is atrophy
  • One cell, when it dies, replace by one new cell is normal
  • One cell, when it dies, replaced by two new cells is a tumor
  • One cell, refusing to die, joined by other new cells refusing to die is cancer

What contributes to the control mechanism of these things?  What coordinates (or lacks coordination) these things?
